This morning Luisa and I lollligagged, reading Christmas stories in bed and then we had omelettes. It was delightful, I haven’t had anyone to read to for a long time. I really like reading out loud. I read the one about the boy who wanted a pony and nothing but a pony for Christmas, The Gift of the Magi and A Pint of Judgment, about a little girl who heard her mother said what she wanted most for Christmas was a quart of judgment, even a pint would do, The little girl asks her uncle lawyer what ‘judgment ‘ was and he told her it was ‘common sense’ and what the little girl heard was ‘common cents’, so her pre-Christmas days were consumed in accumulating pennies and no one could figure out waht she was doing. Then on her package she said to “Shake well before opening” and the pennies went a -flying! I think I identify with this little girl!
Aaaaagh! I can’t find my camera! I took some really cool pictures the other day, too. I wanted to take a picture from, or overlooking, our roof because it reminds me of ‘Chim-chim-cheree’ when he says, “On the rooftops of London- coo! Wot a sight!”. Especially with the snow! I am going to sew today. If it turns out to be anything worthwhile, I’ll let you know.
This font is called “Penguin Attack”. :>) Are you feeling attacked? Tonight Joel and I were riding along in the car and I said, “ I haven’t been able to find my CD case with all my favorite CD’s in them.” And he says, “Isn’t it in the glove box?” Well, that was easy. Now I can’t find my two favorite Christmas books and I know I had them a few weeks ago. Makes me a little sick because some of my treasures are in there. I also have found satellite radio so I am not entirely dependent on my meager CD collection of Christmas music, what comes of having started to collect when records were the only thing to collect. I found some used CD’s on the Amazon of things I had in other media.
I think you haven’t truly lived in a house until you have had Christmas in it. I am having fun making this place home. Don’t want to put too many pictures up and spoil it for Luisa! Looking forward to you coming home!
Happy Birthday Em! I got a really great card for you ages ago. This always happens. I’ll get it right in the mail!
I thought you might worry I’m slacking off on the music. Of all ther versions I listened to of this , this was the best. You can sleep on this and wake up with it,too.
